On May 9th Giulia Battistoni took part in the event MediCinema dedicated to the novel “Frankenstein” of Mary Shelley and held at the University of Verona. On that occasion she gave a talk starting from her essay within the book “Caro Mostro. Duecento anni di Frankenstein” (ed. by N. Pasqualicchio, 2023) titled “Uomo di scienza o sperimentatore dilettante? Riflessioni morali sull’applicazione della scienza e della tecnica in ambito medico”, in which she discusses the role of medicine between téchne, philosophy and science and in which she brings some reflections on the application of science and technology in the medical field and on questions of responsibility (with reference to the genetic sequencing and enhancement).
